Fees
Base Rate
Our base rate of $40.00 per hour, with a three hour minimum, covers the following:

We will analyze your problem, complete the research, make our conclusions, provide copies of relevant documents with full source citations, and document reports describing our findings including the basis for our conclusions.

Record research is very unpredictable and we cannot guarantee results with every search, but please be assured that we will do everything we can to find what is available. Your input is directly related to our preparation and research. By submitting a very complete and organized client packet you will limit the time spent in preparation.
Per Document
For a fee of $20 per document we will include an image of the requested record, and both transcribe and translate the record for you. If research beyond that of our own extensive library is necessary to locate the document requested, additional hourly fees will apply.
Flat Rate
You may choose to pay a flat rate of $40 per hour, with a three hour minimum, plus an expense allowance or you may choose from the examples listed below.
Example I. $200
Five hours of research for limited information will include, but is not limited to:
- Preparation and travel time
- Searching and obtaining available records
- Analyzing the data found
- Writing our reports
This plan works well for searches in one location, such as a vital records office where birth, marriage, and death records may be found for a family group.
Example II. $360
For research in addition to that listed above, which may include probate, wills, and/or land and tax records, including the regular preparation time, travel, analysis, and report writing of no more than nine hours total.
More Extensive Research
We will use all resources necessary, such as cemetery records, funeral homes, historical societies, libraries, vital records offices, etc. in the attempt to complete your research project. Before incurring additional time we will consult with you as to how extensive, and expensive you wish this project to become.
Additional Expenses May Include:
- Priority mail
- Certified copies of documents, as charged by the agency (allow an average of $15 each)
- Plain copies as available (allow an average of $1 each)
- Microfilm/microfiche rental
- Etc., etc.
